Verse

10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” - Psalm 46:10

Meditation

It’s been a long, turbulent week. A reminder after your emotional roller coaster.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am in control.

Be still and know that I have authority over all things.

Be still and know that I will not leave you.

Be still and know that I am your refuge (safety) and fortress (protection).

Be still and know that I am your Shepherd.

Be still and know that I am your Provider.

Be still and know that I will give you strength.

This is just a few of the characteristics of God and His promises. Right now most people have time together with the people they love the most that they don’t normally have or normally take. I invite you to take time with those people you love and focus on all the characteristics of God and His promises. Turn off the TV and the internet, which creates high anxiety, and be still. Be still, open your Bible and read and focus on the truths of God. It will calm your spirit. Be still and know God and He will be exalted.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I pray for every person reading this that they will experience a sense of calm in their spirit as they focus on who you are and what you do. We are thankful for what you do and the fact you are our personal friend. May every person reading experience intimacy with you and discover again that you are God and what that means. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
